There might be a way to detach them if you are crafty. However, given that this is designed as a quiet case and that the front covers probably play a large role in sound deadening, it would sort of defeat the purpose of the case to remove them. :) I have an old Antec P180 quiet case, and there is a very noticeable increase in noise when you open the front door.
