It's odd AnandTech more often seems to break news on NV driver releases than AMD. In fact, AMD's new WHQL approved Catalyst 13.9 drivers are also out today.

Thanks for the tip, hopefully they fix the issues with Guildwars 2 performance that their last microstutter fix beta drivers had.

Well the truth is that over time Nvidia releases many more VHQL drivers than AMD.

And the latest AMD VHQL removes Frame Pacing so how is that even a good release?

Catalyst 13.9 drivers add WHQL certification, drop frame pacing

Did you read the part where Ryan says "Thanks to reader SH SOTN for the heads up"? I doubt Ryan is scouring the internet for exclusive Nvidia specific driver news. In fact, Anandtech as an AMD portal which has news on all things AMD, including driver releases.

Right, so where is the NV portal?

My apologies, I realized the submit news option would have been the appropriate way to convey the feedback!

hopefully they bring stability improvements to my GTX560, i have had nothing but grief this month trying to understand why windows was hanging all the time, and why i couldn't access one of my screens after. Only after trying all sorts of tests, and installing an old video driver started working again.

    same here 460 GTX.. win7 64 bit.
314.22 works good for me.. no driver after that worked good.
  • pixelstuff - Thursday, September 19, 2013 - link

I have had similar problems recently with a 560 Ti.

Ack! I have had the same issue with my EVGA GTX560 since I installed the latest drivers. I've been wondering why I'm getting video-related bluescreens in Win7-64bit. It sounds like I'm not the only one.

Maybe this new release will clear that up.

Wow I thought I am the only one having this problem. I received my GTX560 last week and the driver crashes or screen freezes all the time. I thought it was faulty and I almost returned it.

It's the same with these drivers. Just tested them. Encountered a lock-up/reboot in about 20 minutes. Went back to 314.22.

Being stuck on a certain working driver isn't pleasant at all.
  • crimsondoor - Saturday, September 21, 2013 - link

Same here - I updated and the driver crashed again.
  • Gothmoth - Thursday, September 19, 2013 - link

i hope this fixes the hickups and freezes.

all drivers after 314.22 gave me nothing but headache.
314.22 work flawless for me, but all drivers after that have issue with a DLL (event log shows them). and i have freezes when browsing. the freezes are 2-4 seconds long.
when i check the event log i see that at exactly that time some nvidia driver has caused a problem.

Those were fixed with a beta for me (326.80 on a GTX 770), so they should also be fixed in this one - at least if you're talking about the resume from standby issue after more than 24 hours of power-on time.

Glad I saw this. Somehow I'm still on 320.19.
  • Jodiuh - Friday, September 20, 2013 - link

I had 3 560 Tis and they all had issues. Upgrading to a 580 resolved all the crashing. There was even a community outreach by Nvidia due to all the complaints of 560 Tis failing. It was an evil card.
  • Banned0518 - Friday, September 20, 2013 - link

I have had zero issues with my 560ti 448 core edition. Especially not the ones you guys are mentioning. But in all honesty, I have a different chip. So that could explain things. Running 327.23, Windows 8 Pro 64bit.
  • eddman - Saturday, September 21, 2013 - link

    You don't say.

560 Ti 448 has a GF110 core; A regular 560 is based on GF114. They are the same only in name.
